Empowering Creators, Enabling Experiences
In partnership with design collective Parameta, KEF x fx(hash) reimagines creative possibilities by blending art, technology, and creative coding into acoustic sculptures. Dedicated to pushing the boundaries of creative innovation in generative art, the KEF Journey Through Sound project fosters collaboration between artists, developers, and audio engineers to craft multi-sensory narratives, curated for acoustically optimal KEF Music Galleries globally — London, Tokyo, Hong Kong with selected projects performed at satellite events.
-
The second instalment in the inaugural Absorbed series featured a collaborative project with composer and creative coder Murphy James. Titled Re-Absorbed, this iteration expands on the conceptual foundations of Hieroglyphica and Parameta by integrating an immersive sonic dimension. The audio experience was specifically designed for high-fidelity reproduction through the LS50 Wireless II loudspeakers, KC62 subwoofer, and Mu7 wireless headphones.
-
Daito Manabe’s debut event featured original compositions and acoustic sculptures tailored for KEF’s Blade One Meta, LS60 Wireless, and Mu7 Wireless headphones, using algorithms from KEF’s acoustic technology. This creative coding collaboration merges KEF’s engineering with Manabe’s pioneering digital art through music, dance, and interactive design.
-
The inaugural instalment of the Duet series showcased Andreas Rau in a dynamic performance that navigated tensions between structured composition and spontaneous improvisation, balancing algorithmic precision with organic spontaneity while merging synthetic textures and natural sounds as an expression of human-machine dialogue.
-
Crafted to celebrate KEF’s 60th anniversary and the LS60 Wireless speakers, this inaugural collection embodies the transformation of raw noise into high-fidelity sound
Absorbed served as our entrance to the virtual space – a way to reward our community, while starting to empower the creatives utilising this new technology for the future of arts and culture.
-
Intimate serves as an experimental generative audiovisual experience that dynamically produces synchronized soundscapes and visual compositions in real time. During KEF’s debut digital art exhibition—centered on the theme Absorbed and exploring generative audio artistry—attendees participated in live-minting sessions at the KEF Music Gallery.
The event also featured in-person interactions with the project’s creator, multidisciplinary artist Jinyao Lin, offering collectors a unique opportunity to engage directly with the artistic process behind the work.

About Daito
Artist, programmer and DJ.
Launched Rhizomatiks in 2006. Specially-appointed professor at Keio University SFC.
Manabe’s works, which range into a variety of fields, takes a new approach to everyday materials and phenomena. However, his end goal is not simply rich, high-definition realism by recognizing and recombining these familiar elemental building blocks. Rather, his practice is informed by careful observation to discover and elucidate the essential potentialities inherent to the human body, data, programming, computers, and other phenomena, thus probing the interrelationships and boundaries delineating the analogue and digital, real and virtual.

Celebrating the World of Generative Audio Art
The exhibition launched with a vernissage on December 12, 2022, inviting industry figures, friends of KEF, and arts and culture community members to celebrate its opening.
A live panel discussion featuring Parameta Founder Gus Lee, platform fx(hash), and leading generative artists delved into their creative processes and the evolving landscape of generative art. Attendees gained exclusive access to live-minting of unique NFT collections from global artists, including limited editions of works from the Absorbed series. Highlighting international creators — Marcelo Soria-Rodríguez (Spain), Andreas Rau (Norway), Jinyao Lin (Taiwan), and Absorbed artist Hieroglyphica (US), the event forms part of KEF’s broader Journey Through Sound initiative to showcase innovative voices in generative art through high-fidelity acoustic soundstage.
